The 2020 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference (WIMC) will be held at the Nanjing International Expo Convention Center on November 26-28, 2020. What about the preparations for the opening ceremony of this international event based in China and geared toward the world? At the press conference on the afternoon of November 23, the organizing committee introduced the opening ceremony and guests.
According to Tao Lei, Deputy Director of Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the opening ceremony of WIMC will be held at the China Hall of Nanjing International Expo Centre at 9 a.m. on November 26. It will be composed of many links such as leaders' speeches, launching ceremony, Cloud Expo tour, major announcements, and keynote speeches. Among them, the Cloud Expo tour will rely on the large screen on site to lead the participants into the Cloud Expo Platform which will be introduced in all respects around the five exhibition halls including equipment and public service platform exhibition hall, system solutions exhibition hall, demonstration application exhibition hall, talent exchange exhibition hall and financial service matchmaking exhibition hall. Leading enterprises in intelligent manufacturing including Estun, RS Technology, Siemens, ZTE, Nanjing Iron and Steel Group, Xiaomi, Haier, and Rhino Smart Manufacturing will be highlighted.
In addition, two major announcements will be released by the Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance of CAST Member Societies (IMAC) and the China Intelligent Manufacturing System Integrator Consortium (CIMSIC), namely the 2020 World 10 Scientific and Technological Developments in Intelligent Manufacturing and 2020 China 10 Scientific and Technological Developments in Intelligent Manufacturing (hereinafter referred to as the "Double Top Ten" release) and 2020 China Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmarking Enterprises. "Taking this opportunity, the Conference will fully display the latest technological achievements in industrial software, intelligent manufacturing platform and system integration, robots, high-grade CNC machine tool, additive manufacturing equipment and complete sets of intelligent equipment, and demonstrate from multiple dimensions the solutions and application examples for the digital, networked and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry," said Tao Lei.
As a grand event gathering guests worldwide, the 2020 WIMC will invite Bernardo Calzadilla-Sarmiento, Managing Director of Digitalization, Technology and Agri-Business of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to deliver a speech via video-link. International guests including Henning Kagermann, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), "Father of Industry 4.0" and former President of the National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) of Germany, and Dassault Systèmes's Global Vice President Philippe Bartissol will deliver speeches via video link on the themes of digital transformation, intelligent manufacturing solutions, and enterprise's digital transformation respectively.
As of November 22, over 320 domestic and foreign academicians, experts and scholars, and guests from national and international renowned organizations and enterprises have confirmed their personal presence at offline opening ceremony and branch forums, This includes 16 Chinese and foreign academicians, more than 160 heads of well-known international institutions and representatives of famous enterprises, nearly 100 experts and scholars from scientific research institutes and societies, and over 50 representative guests of leading enterprises in Nanjing's eight major industrial chains. On the other hand, domestic industrial experts and enterprise leaders such as Cao Dewang, Founder and Chairman of Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd., Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Leading CPC Group and Chairman of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, and Zhang Jindong, Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Suning Holdings Group will make keynote speeches around themes of enterprises intelligent manufacturing transformation, industrial internet, driving force of consumption and services to promote the development of intelligent manufacturing and so forth.
